As I write this on April 1, 2024, I’m decidedly not writing this post as an April Fool’s Day joke!
The much-anticipated Total Solar Eclipse is just one week away now: April 8, 2024. Visible to more than 31 million people across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico, this is way more than just an amazing astronomical spectacle. Whether you’ll be, physically, in a place along that diagonal Eclipse path where you can see it with your own (Eclipse glasses-filtered) eyes, astrologically, it’s a global event; it touches all of us in some way.
Solar Eclipses are known to be times of powerful catalysts for karmic awakenings. Times of potentially profound, permanent transformations. And in this case, that’s especially true for those of us who have planets or critical points at 19 degrees of Aries in our Birth Charts.
A solar eclipse, particularly in the fiery sign of Aries, symbolizes new beginnings, assertive starts, and the raw energy needed to initiate significant changes. As the Sun's light is momentarily obscured, so too are our previous notions of our identity and life direction.
